97-03 f150 RCD lift?

NTW has the lift for $1200.

Anyone have this lift on a 01-03 Screw?

I would like to see some more pics. I've searched the forum, but not alot of pics.

I wanted to also know what size block the kit comes with for the rear?

also will the factory wheels fit on this lift?

Thanks, Brasco

That's a great deal. THe RCD, along with the Fabtech is probably the best lift available for our trucks. And yes, you can use the OEM wheels. That is only a concern on lifts for the 04-09 F-150's.

i just put the 5" RCD on my 97 flareside and it is definitely an awesome kit. very simple to install.. looks great. quality parts. no pcs yet except pics of the parts in my thread...about 2 or three pages back. will get pics tomorrow. i was out of town for the weekend. it is a great choice. highly recommended. it was 1245.95 shipped

Hey doitonall4s how much lift did you get out of the back end over stock?

Did the kit use blocks or add a leaf?

Thanks, Brasco

most suspension lifts for our trucks use a 4'' block to stack w/ the stock 2'' block for 6'' of lift. for me, that's a big no no. get a 6'' solid block, or a new leaf spring pack.

the lift came with a 5 inch add-a-leaf that re-arced the top two leafs...its defnitley 5 inches over stock. cant quite remember exact measurements but when ill take pics of the truck today ill measure what its at now and you can kind of go off of that

i put pics up in my new thread....97 flareside 5" Rcd complete...pictures......measurements for you came out to a lil over 43 inches to the top of the fender wells. 58 inches to bottom of window and 59 inches to top of bedside

Truck looks good:beers:

My only concern is the CV angles are really steep on the RCD compared to the 5" rough country lift or the 6" fabtech.... They are almost as steep as just cranking the torsion bars...

Anyone have front pics of the Rancho 4" lift I would like to see the CV angles, and what does Rancho use to lift the back?

Maybe have changed my mind from the RCD lift.....

Thanks, Brasco

do they still have this special on the RCD lift? i didnt see it

minimonster17 03-31-2009 09:18 PM

I'm not sure on the other lifts, but the fabtech kit is a true six inch lift. two 6'' subframe drop-down crossmembers are bolted on, and the whole front IFS axle, differential and all is dropped down 6'', along with the torsion bars to compensate for the lift.

this results in a true 6'' suspension increase without adjustment to the torsion bars, and thus, retains the stock suspension geometry.

doitonall4s 03-31-2009 09:32 PM

the rcd was the same thing all new drop down brackets. i had the torsion bars set at the same as when it was stock and never cranked them up a bit... i have a thread a cpl pages back that shows all the parts to the rcd lift. all drop down brackets and no blocks in the rear. just an add-a-leaf that re-arcs the two upper leafs
