97-03 Leveled? or Lifted?(2wd)

Ok I still can't decide if i want to just level my truck or go all out and lift it. Its an 01 Screw 2wd w/ a 5.4, i was wondering if anyone could help me decide. I want to have a daily driver that i can go through some mud and have some fun with my freinds, but still be able to haul serious a**(with a few performance mods of course). My problem is not knowing if leveled and some 33's is enough to do the job. If its not what lift should i go for. OH AND PICS ARE GREAT.(prefebly 97-03 Screws). Thanks

id say go for the lift. you will want to go higher anyways.

fabtech 7.5" kit is a great lift. clears 35's

i agree, if you just level it, your gonna want more. if you dont have the budget for the fabtech, you can do a 3.5" spindle lift with or without leveling kit. that would put you about where a 4x4 would be, and you could fit 33s, you could then add a body lift on top of that and fit 35s

shackles, i'll trade you if you want a 4x4 =P
im lowering my 4x4 and i'd gladly take a 2wd 5.4

its got a 198k on it and thanks but no thanks. i like my 5.4, and i dont think the 'rents would like that. anyways the 7.5 is a little bit out of my budget so what i the next highest lift out there. and what kind of mud have you guys with the lifts gone through?

i put my ranger though mud over the 36's with a 4 banger 2wd.

if you know how to drive in certain situations you can make it though alot.

not really about the lift itself but about the tires, differentail ratio, locker or open.

my f150 hardly ever leaves 2wd unless im stuck

they make a 6", 4", 3.5"

and a 3" body lift

If you are trying to decide HOW much to lift your truck, go with the largest option or you will regret it lately. Since you have a 4x2, you have a ton of options that are relativitly inexpensive. You can use 2 inch Daystar coilspring spacers, 3 inch lifted spindles or a 3 inch body lift or even combine all three for 8 inches of lift.

how much would that run me. would it be better to get that or a procomp 6'' or fabtech 7.5''?
