Need advise or comments

I have a 2002 ford F-150 4x4 XL supercab with a 4.6 L, as of now i have a 3" body lift with raised torson bars, i have motot metal 17x9 wheels with 4.5 BS and -12 offset, My tires are 315 70 17 MT MTZ or 35". My rims blow and are pitting like crazy and look like **** so i want new rims and i know there are not many options, my delima is this friday im bringing in my truck to a local shop and having a 6" lift installed "Fab Tech" and changing my gears to 456 in front and rear, but i am having them only put my lift at around 5" for now because my tires only have about 5K miles on them, i think he will leave out the add aleaf and only crank up the front to level, Question is will i have more bounce in the front with it cranked down or will the ride be ok and will it blow the shocks with to much compression, will my truck look dumb as hell with the 35" tires and around 8" of lift, and will black rims on a white and tan truck look silly especially with a 17" rim and a 35" tire and later a 37" tire and 17" rim with 9" of lift when i replace the tires. Also are people happy with the fabtech 6" lift and shocks on the 1997 to 2003 kits i dont do any offroad except a gravel road to get to my blind during hunting season and a ocasional stump to pull out or pulling my boat or tralier. I know this is alot but instead of making 10 threads i figure knock it out in one, i am new to this forum but have always had 4x4's and always wanted a lift and a bad *** looking truck but never did it so i want this lift and wheel option to go good but i am getting agravated because you never know until its done how it will look, and when i ask the shop owner it seems like im bothering him, and i probally am because i was going to go with a 4" Rancho with my 3" body at first then returned it and went with fab tech 6". Any advise or suggestions or criticism will be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you have it covered. The only suggestion I'd make is consider going to 4.88 gears since you have a 4.6 and want 37's in the near future. The 4.56's will work fine and may be a better choice if you do a lot of interstater driving and never tow/haul anything. You just have to look at how you use your truck.
The Fabtech lift is a great choice and it will work fine without a ton of preload on the torsion bars. It should ride fine. The Fabtech shocks are better than your OEM shocks, but nothing to brag about. I'd also try to find some 10 inch wide wheels with 4.5 inches of bs just because they will make the tires look a little bigger. As far as color, black will look ok on your truck, but I think chrome or polished would look better, but that's just a personal opinion.

Yes i do alot of interstate driving, i drive atleast 250 miles to go to work every two weeks thats why i leaned more towards the 456 gears, it cant be any worse than now thats for sure. Do you think if i go to a 37" tall tire it will suck again or it wont make that much of a change. Do you know of any rims polished that are 17x10 4.5 BS i can only find a couple on eagle alloy and Ultra that are polished that look good but the shop said that not many places carry those and i would be lucky to find them on the internet in that size and polished. If i knew i could sale my rims and tires for a good bit of money i would try to talk my wife into letting me get some 20x10 wheels and 37" tires but that is a pipe dream for now i think. And i will never go with chrome ever again this is the secound chrome rim i have owned and both times pitted so polished or black for me. Thanks for the reply

37's and 4.56's should perform fine for the driving you described.
