front coil's

so i went to a few shops today talking to them about putting the basic coil set up off a fabtech lift kit onto my truck. one guy was to stupid to realize fabtech had a base kit. the other guy is going to contact me tomorrow with a price. i have no doubt it will work. i want to eventually put a 2" spacer on top so i need to get rid of the spacer i already have. im just wondering how much i should expect to pay if i do decide to do this?

I'm I getting this right ? You just want to add there coil overs or just there shocks ?

FoMoCoFan17 Sep 4, 2008 08:11 PM

Bilstein also makes front shocks for a 6" lift.

i want the coil and the shock. but i can go on with any shock really. but if i can get it cheaper together then thats what i would do.

do you have a lift already ?

06yz250f Sep 4, 2008 08:33 PM

yea, but i can think of about a 1,000 reasons not to get them...

FoMoCoFan17 Sep 4, 2008 09:14 PM

I didn't think the Fabtech kit had coils?

If you go beyond the basic . They do! Coilovers with performace shocks or the dirt logics which are adjustable .

I know about the coilovers. They don't make a coil spring for the stock assembly, do they?

Maybe the OP blasted some guy at the shop about a "Fabtech Basic Coil" set-up that Fabtech doesn't make.

I belive the basic Fabtech kits comes with new white bodied coilover shocks that you mount your OEM coilspring on while the Dirt Logic coilovers come with new coilsprings.
