Would this work...?

I have a 2002 f-150 2wd, and i want a massive lift an tires. I was gonna go with a 6" suspension +3" body= 9"lift and have 38" nittos. But i have noticed that most lifts are made for 4wd trucks. So i was wondering if 1. this will be enough lift for the size tires, 2. if i can even put this type of lift on my truck, and 3. if i can put it on would i have to cut my finders?

if you want to call that a massive lift you can. haha, just messin with you.

you will probably see issues running those size tires with that lift on a 2wd. if you dont mind cutting fenders though i think you can get away with it.

I'd run one of the big lifts like bulletproof, or a 7.5 Fabtech, body lift, and coil spring spacers.

38's with 9 inches of lift on a 4x4 is a very tight fit and they sit about 3 inches taller than a 4x2. I'd go with the 7.5 inch Fabtech lift with a 3 inch PA body lift and some 37x12.50's.

bullet proof has a 12inch lift for your 2wd if im not mistaken and coil spring spacer just sits on top of your coilover and gives you that extra lift up front

This will work for sure iv seen it done on a truck just like yours, honestly i think you'd be able to clear 38s no prob 10.5 inches of lift is quite a bit

Only if you want to go with a tire larger than 37x12.50.

id say go w/ a fabtech 7 1/2 inch lift. 3 in body. and coil spacer. and run 38 in atleast a 13.5 inch wide. cashel has a 4x4 screw w/ 38's and 9 inches of lift i believe. it looks really good. and someone else has a ext. cab w/ 9 inches of lift running 35's waiting on 38's i think

Nah Cashel's truck is sitting on 38's with 9"

The only way you will fit 38's on a 2wd is

1> 7.5" Fabtech + 3" Body Lift
2> Whiplash Suspension Lift (if they make one for the 2wd)
3> Full Throttle Suspension (if they make one for the 2wd)
4> Bulletproof Suspension (if they make one for the 2wd)

OR

Throw a D44 up front with some leaf springs (like 14" of lift) and just leave the front Driveshaft out.

trimble thats what i said i think... but yea 2wd are a little harder to get lift with just because their not as popular to lift. you can get a 7.5 fabtech for about 1100 bucks and im sure cheaper if you look around. you can do a 1-1/2 inch spacer on front coils. so thats about 9" of lift + 3 body so 12" of lift which would put you about 9-10" of lift on a 4x4 so you could clear 38's. i heard somewhere someone is making a 5" body lift for the 97-03's f150's not sure on this just read it somewhere in the forum.
