Best 8" lift for 2008 f250 diesel 4wd?

There are a bunch of options but which is the best for smooth ride and appearance? 8" or more up to 10" no more than that tho. Just wanna fit 24" rims with 38" kumho's. i want the smoothest ride possible but want it too look sharp underneath the truck. Let me know what yall think.

you have a f250. we all besides jbmx have f150's. we cant tell you first hand about this. but rize is always a great choice. and they look cool. i have never heard one complaint about an rize on an f150 so im sure the quality carries onto the f250 as well.

:thumbsup:get a rize with a 4link conversion that **** will look bad ass

JD790 08-28-2008 08:40 AM

I've read good things about the BDS 8" kit. Looks pretty nice. It is also a 4 link kit.

Man, thats gotta hurt at the pumps. I've read where the newer 250's were getting horrible gas mileage due to some of the emission laws. I can't imagine the MPG on one with 38's. I wish I had your money! At least it will look bad ass though!

another one to look into is the fabtech 8" or 10" kit and it comes with the hoops for the 4.0 dirt logic coilovers, you can get it with radius arms or the 4 -link setup. that'll get the looks your goin for too

FX4life 08-28-2008 09:54 AM

Rize or Kelderman are the only two options i would consider.

tnsilverfx4 08-28-2008 10:10 AM

i have an 08 250. If I were looking at a 8 inch lift kit, I would look at the Fabtech or Rize.

BakerF150 08-28-2008 02:24 PM

well my f150 gets 9 mpg right now. so it cant be worse than that! yeah i didnt know where to ask about a f250 that would get alot of different opinions. Thanks tho fellas and ill post pics when its all done. yeah i have heard about them gettin worse mpg too. im gettin it for a great deal at an auction so i can spare some.

crash_lucky13 08-28-2008 02:52 PM

fabtech right now is making a KILLER 8" for you guys.. i've got about 4 calls a day about them right now. they are freaking awesome. procomp has a decent one but man that fabtech is AWESOME

why 8"? go for 10"

Rize, Fabtech, BDS, and Kelderman.

you should look into rockkrawler. they make great products too. all of their lifts come with awesome coilovers.

Not sure if I can post it here or not and don't want to break any forum rules, but you should look on the diesel truck forum and check out the after market and mod section for 250's, 350's, 450's.

If I can give you the forum link without breaking a rule let me know and I'll be glad to give it to you.

FX4life 08-29-2008 12:39 PM

the fabtech does look nice. Ive never heard of rockkrawler but it looks nice as well

BakerF150 08-29-2008 12:47 PM

Yeah that fabtech one does look badass. 10" is ok. just had to be at least 8 to clear those tires and wheels i believe. Yeah im a look into that fabtech one. Sorry for postin in this section. Ive just been a member off this site cause of my f150 for like 2 years or more so i figured i could sneak it in here. haha. Thanks for all the responses. im just new to the diesel world.

fx4tough07 08-29-2008 01:22 PM

kind of off topic but what wheels and tires do are you going to run

tnsilverfx4 08-29-2008 01:28 PM

in regards to the gas mileage, my lieometer says 11.5 mpg with 6 inch lift and 35's. Im not sure how accurate it is, but i think its close.

The 08's get crummy mileage but i hear they get better as you break them in.

Kelderman is without a doubt the best riding lift that you can buy at any price for fullsize pickup trucks. Whichever lift you decide on, make sure that it includes new radius arms, not just drop brackets. 4 link rear will deliver a fantastic ride.

fx4 for life 79 08-29-2008 03:48 PM

i saw a show with a kelderman lift where they could adjust it between 5-15 inches of lift

Kelderman!!!

I've ridden in one of their trucks... Simply amazing.

FX4life 08-30-2008 02:29 PM

anyone know what a kelderman lift runs price wise? i did a car show this summer next to a dodge that had a kelderman lift but the owner was not present to ask about it...They look pretty expensive compared to rize or fabtech?

CRF250rider1000 09-01-2008 11:32 PM

It was a Green F350 and it was on Xtreme 4x4 on the Powerblock on Spike TV:D That was a SICK truck:rocker:

Eff One Fifty 09-02-2008 08:24 AM

yeah it was an episopde of Extreme 4X4 where they put the Kelderman on.

The kit runs around 10K for everything, thats air tanks air lines the electrical for it, and so on.

It is an amazing lift but talk about breakin the bank.....

Get a Rize lift man!

hen23 09-02-2008 11:18 AM

Yeah Kelderman costs a lot, but the adjustability is simply amazing. It rides like a sedan, not just better than stock but as though youre not in an 8000 pound truck. But hey, when the truck costs 60K and the wheels and tires are gonna run you 3-4K, why worry about penny pinching?

FX4life 09-03-2008 01:03 AM

for 10K i hope it rides amazing... I think ill stick to rize when the time comes again for that price..
