Is this normal

I just had a 2" leveling kit put on my 2006 FX4. The truck only has 18,000 miles on it. i go over speed bumps a couple of time per day. Before it went up and down smooth. Now that i have the tuff country leveling kit when i go over the speed bumps it is much rougher and when the truck comes of the bump it is rougher than before. I thought is wasnt supposed to change the ride but i was a little skeptical of that anyway. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Your ride should have not changed at all. I have a 2.5" kit and it still rides like stock. Is your leveling kit metal or a composite type?

I just put on AS 2-1/2" and I am riding a bit stiffer on bumps. I think maybe mine could be the mud tires.

It is metal not composite. My ride on the road hasnt changed but on a bump at slow speed or like i said a speed bump it really seems rough almost like something may be loose. Maybe its just me.

my sister and my dad both had 2 1/2" leveling kits. i can tell a difference on speed bumps, curbs or any small bump. so yes, i guess its normal. just depends on the brand/ what it is made out of i guess.

Just be sure to double check the tightness of everything. Bumps or no bumps, my ride has not changed at all.
