Lift install on Bro's 2500

Ok guys, so my bro's truck is at 4wheelpart wholesalers right now getting a 6"
kit installed, my question is:

They called him today to say he needs left and right, upper and lower tie rod ends, an idler arm, and a pitman are. They really whored the kit and tires, and install out to him, gave him sweet deals and such. I think that they are just trying to get more money out of him, The truck only has a little over 100K on it and its a 2500 that has never been worked that hard. Coudl he really need these things?

On what kinda truck? A Ram 2500 or GM 2500. I don't know about them, but those are high wear items on our trucks. My ball joints and idler arm were replaced at 60k miles.

id say its a common thing. if they wear out on our trucks they probably will wear out close to the same on another truck.

id have him have it done or do it himself!

yeah for sure they could be bad. they are notorious for tie rods ends and idler arms. if it was my truck, i wouldnt bat an eye about having them replaced, cheaper in the long run. my 00 z71 was super loose and i need of a front end rebuild at 134k and i was only running 33's.
