3" Skyjacker on 3" Bodylift (with 2.5 AS) ?

Looking for a little boost on a military salary. I already have a 3" BL and a 2.5" AS spacer with 315x70x17s. I saw the 3" skyjacker strut and AAL kit is pretty affordable, but is it worth a hoot? I love the Rancho, but I have a 2004 2WD, and they only make them for 4x4 (as far as i can find). Also, would the AS still fit when I put the 3" longer struts in the front? It was a pretty tight squeeze when I put them in. I purchased 5" Lift blocks before I deployed, because I was going to stack 6 on 3, but decided against it. Any suggestions? Thanks guys! :beers:

Sounds like you are trying to get the effect of a complete lift kit without doing it right and paying for a kit. That would be my best advice, save your money and buy a complete kit. And get rid of that 5" block.

Answer is Yes and No. You have a 2WD it might work if your upper ball joints hold together. You stacking blocks in back is not smart. Use the 5" block and aal's. You still may need drive shaft spacer. You are trying to get big lift out of a 2WD and taking short cuts you may have problems, but may not. If your truck is only vehicle don't do it

I'd stay away from the Skyjacker lift. 3 inches is too much lift without any kink of subframe. You can't combine the Skyjacker and your leveling kit. I doubt you would even be able to get your front end bolted back together. Even if you did, your ball joint angles would be too extreme to survive. I'd suggest saving up for a 6 inch Fabtech or Pro Comp lift.

I was about to start a thread like this so I may as well just ask here

I am going to put a zf6 tranny in my truck(expensive I know but I found one with this company gurrenteed for 3 years tranny and t-case for around 3500-4000) anyways I need to put a bout a 3 inch body lift to help the clearance and I was wandering if it is possable to put a 3-4 inch suspension lift on top of the 3 inch body lift, truck details in sig.

Id start another thread for this but ill answer it.

You can stack the Body Lift and suspension lift id recommend

3" Performance Accessories Body Lift

Then one of these:

6" Fabtech
5" RCD
5" BDS

Im not a fan of Rancho, Tuff Country, Rough Country or Tough Country. Ive broken things on these lifts~
