Leveling Kit ??????
I have a 2006 Super Cab 4x4 ( Chrome Package) and am interested in installing a leveling kit. A few questions come to mind before I do so. Whats the better brand, will this stiffin the ride and what kind of MPG will I get? Looking to either go with a 33in tire or mabye even a 35 not quit sure yet. Wanting to stick with the factory wheel which is a 18x7.5 I believe. What do you suggust and looking for pics if available. Thanks GUYS
putting a leveling kit is not going to bring down you mpg it will be the bigger tires that you put on there and who knows you might not lose anything.. if you do then you can get a cold air intake and a programmer or w.e
you can go with any spacer that is not polyurethane. polyurethane is good but not as good as the metal ones that are out. 2.5 or 3 inches would be good and you're looking at $100 to $300 depending on application. those tires would work ok on stock rims. after market wheels, depending on the backspacing, you would have to get a 33 tire.
autospring and readylift make good steel spacers that dont affect your ride at all.

i have a 2'' on mine ...but be careful too bc with leveling kits you dont really want to go to much bc you can put ur UCA's at an angle to were they wont like you and sooner or later will have to get your ball joints or w.e replaced

Check my gallery. I have a 06 xlt. THere is a 2" BDS level kit with 35/12.50/20 procomp tires. I haven't really noticed any difference in ride. My kit cost $115, and install with alignment cost $225. As far as the wheels and tires go, it is the backspacing that is important in determining whether they will rub. I have a 20x8.5 with 6" bs and +30 offset. There is no rubbing.
As far as MPG goes, I cannot tell due to inaccuracy of speedo from increased tire size. I should get my Gryphon programmer tomorrow and will adjust for the size and do mpg tests.

I got an Autospring 2" lift off of ebay for $70 shipped(this is where there sight took me to buy). I put it on my self had to buy 1 wrench and socket that I did not have which were $10 apeice. This put me at $90, then I took and had it aligned for $70. So I spent $160 and had my truck lifted 2" in the front. So my vote is do it yourself and save some cash. Its a very straight forward install we have a great write up on here somewhere. It took right at 2 hours for me to finish it the kit says 3.5 hrs for labor. So it is your call but I would definately look into doing it yourself. Just dont get the kind that require a spring compressor bc that will be a ton of extra work and they will acutally change your ride quality!
