is the truck warranty voided after a lift is put on?

I believe that if the aftermarket parts that were put on were the direct cause of something else's failure, then no, I doubt your covered. If you go to open your door and the handle comes off in your hand, you should be ok.

If you had a shop perform the instal, they should cover all the components long enough to make sure nothing is going to go wrong.

Yep, only the parts directly affected by the lift are affected. However, some dealers are jerks and seem to look for a reason to void a warranty. Ask YOUR dealer.

it depends on your dealer, find a mod friendly dealer, where i go they don't void warranty for a lift and big tires, the only thing they said absolutely not to do is chip it or use a programmer. i have no idea why, but its fine by me. they told me its no different than buying a conversion truck, which is a good point.

no it's not voided. the Magnusson-Moss act of 92 passed by congress states that aftermarket parts dont and cant void a warranty, except the parts directly affected by the lift, i.e. ball joints, tie rods.

Did you put oversize tires on the truck as well? Some food for thought. Oversize tires cause the trans/engine to work harder. Depending how hard you drive the truck, and over time, the larger tires may cause the trans particularly to fail. Your warranty may decide not to cover the trans, let's say if it fails due to the strain of oversize tires. You should be looking into regearing.:smoke:
