have 6" lift but now want more!! suggestions
i bought the truck new in January, put a 6" fabteck on it with 35" toyo open country mts.. it has 3.55 gears but i want to get 4.56s but i was wondering if i could get a 2.5" spacer for the front and 2.5" add-a-leaf in the back, and have a total of 8.5" lift??
if so, can i get some suggestions on what company to buy from.. thanks! |
I have 6" fabtech & 2.5" spacer. Looks good to me.

got any pics?
|
i would do a body lift instead of a spacer.
If your truck is a 4x4, your CV angles are going to be ridiculous and you will run into problems. You will also have very limited suspension travel, and with heavy tires it can be hard on the front IFS. |
Angles are a lil extreme but i dont go offroad or even use 4 wheel drive. STREET QUEEN! Pics does no justice tho for the height.

NO BODY LIFTS PLEASE! They should be illegal.

Just curious, why do you say that.

To each his own I guess. Everything you listed is easily addressed though through Gap Guards & Nerf Bars for the frame. I didn't have to move the tow hooks, and while the rear bumper is moved up, remounting the trailer light assembly cleans it up pretty good.
I hear you though, some people don't like them for their own reasons. But there a lot of guys who run them on top of their suspension lifts and they look great IMO. If done correctly of course. I was just wondering what you had against them. |
I agree.

I wouldn't stack spacers. Just get some adjustable coilovers and crank them up 2". 2" is good enough to fit 37's and that half inch isn't going to allow you to fit anything bigger.
|
glcash, are those 37's on 20's??
|
nothing wrong with body lifts gl- the visual concerns that you brought up are really not valid- look at wandell and jk's pics- the gap guards really complete the look. Those trucks look sweet:thumbsup:
|
There is always the Dirt Logic cranking 2" option. That's what I did. With 37" Toyo Open Country M/T's. Probably doing a body lift next.
