3" spindle lift with 1.5" coil spacer

3" spindle lift with 1.5" coil spacer
Will this work? Or will it stress the stock components to much? Also can anyone give me a description of what a splindle lift actually does?

Thanks

spindle takes where the wheel mounts to the rest of the suspension and basicaly drops it down, it leaves the suspension where it belongs but moves the wheel down. as far as using a spacer too i think you should be fine, im pretty sure there are other guys on there using that setup.

np-when i get the money im going with that setup so let us know how it works out

I had that setup on my old 04 heritage. Works fine, though its a little stiffer up front and the ball joints wore faster than normal. But if I would do it again.

did you front wheels stick out much farther than the rear?

madmaxwell87 02-03-2008 07:22 PM

are those 35's under there? howd you lift the rear?

alomar 02-03-2008 07:26 PM

Front wheels stuck out about 1.5-2" but didnt look bad, and they are 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers.

I had a 3" block in the rear.

awg-8...I just did this exact setup on my 02' supercab...I used the 3" spindles that are one ebay for $215(worked great), plus my 1.5" SKG metal leveling kit. I dont think that I even need an alignment but I will when I get my new tires and rims. Right now I just have 2" blocks in the back and it definetly sits a little nose high but I am undecided if I a going to get a 3" block or not. I think I actually got 4" out of the spindles which is wierd because they claim 3", but they only added like 3/4" to maybe an inch on each side width wise. I thought the width was going to be an issue but its not. I will take some pics later today an post them for you...right now I just have 265/70R17 BFG's on 17" FX4 rims which actually dont look as bad as I thought, but am going to get some black 18's and BFG A/Ts in the 305/65R18 which are 33.7x12.2R18. Let me know if you have any questions.

so I tried making a gallery, but my pictures are huge! I will try and resize them and get them up tomarrow. Sorry man, I was working on it all day today...new front brakes and wheel bearings. Im going riding tomarrow, but I will try and get them up tomarrow afternoon. Anyway I have had no issues (yet - two weeks) knock-on-wood, but I dont think that the wheels turn as sharp as they did before, that is the only way it changed driving wise! what color and cab is your truck?

awg-8 02-10-2008 06:50 PM

No problem... take your time... I had the same problem when trying to load pics.

My truck is a tan supercrew

mxr181 02-11-2008 11:00 PM

So I finally got the pictures resized, sorry for the wait...I know it sucks, I did so much research here on f150online trying to decide what was the best route and looking for pics of other trucks with it done! I wasnt able to put pics in the message but here is a link to my new gallery with pics before and after...if the link doesnt work just search for mxr181 in the galleries and it will pop right up. Let me know what you think, now it just needs tires/wheels, body color mirror caps, grille surround, and a ton more! The list never ends!

^ a 3" block will bring you level. A 4" you will be high in the rear.

madmaxwell87 02-12-2008 11:36 AM

i actualy like how it looks now, maybe like a 1" block cause its a little nose high. im surprised it looks that good with the 32's. definately going to do that to my truck cause i know i dont have to invest in new tires
