Question Ride quality

Im looking to put a 6" lift on my 05 f150 and i was wondering how much it changed the ride. I love the way it rides now and don't want to loose to much of the ride quality. So i guess my question to all the guys with a lift how much did it change your ride and would a 4" ride better than a 6"?

When I lifted mine (6") I didn't see much change at all in the ride quality. Although when I went from the stock tires to 35" A/T's I did notice the tires being a good bit stiffer.

When I put my Rancho 4" lift with 9000XL shocks, the ride quality improved. Of course I did have around 50k miles on the OEM shocks.

With either of the lifts the truck will ride the same as it did from the factory. Once you change your tires is when you will notice a change

re

When I got my Fabtech put on I thought my ride quality improved, which shocked me quite a bit.

a good lift will not change ride characteristics when still using stock shocks and tires.

different tires may change the ride and shock choice has a lot to do with ride quality. most lifts have a premium shock option and that is usually why you see an improvement in ride quality.
