Driveshaft spacer on 2WD? 4wheelparts

I just added a 2 inch spacer on top of my 6 inch fabtech. I also put a 5 inch block in the rear, replacing the 3 inch block that came with my lift. I took my truck to 4wheelparts for an alignment and "silverstar" check (where they make sure you tightened all the bolts on your lift and test drive it). They said i have a vibration at low speeds because my drivshaft needs a spacer that should have come in the fabtech kit. The counter guy said he called FABTECH and was told that my kit should have come with a 5inch block to begin with, but as far as i know the 2wd kits come 6/3 not 6/5...Do i need a driveshaft spacer??...Also i noticed that since installing the 5 inch block my pinion angle seems a little harsher...could this also be the cause of the vibration?

When I had my 2" blocks replaced with a 5" .I did see the guys at the shop put a spacer on top of the drive shaft .Don`t know what the part is called but its where the drive shaft angles.

I had my 2.5AS on top of my 6". I took it off cause ride was to rough. But I`ve been thinking about 1.5 or 2". Let me know how it rides.

Well i picked up the truck yesterday, the verdict from the mechanic was still that i needed a spacer between the rear end yoke and driveshaft yoke. I had them order the part, it was $37.00. The correct lift is 6/3, the mechanic was wrong...i guess he thought my truck was a 4wd .... As far as the ride it is not much different than before. A little stiffer, but to me its hardly noticeable. I did put Dirtlogic Rear Shocks on when i added the spacer lift, so maybe the rear shocks are compensating a little with the rebound of the bed...i dont know... I am very happy with the two inch spacer and 5 inch block, when driving its a noticeable difference in height. The upper control arm angle is not bad either.

Yeah . I noticed the ride ht also when I had the 2.5 on.

Can you post some pic`s of your angle.

are you talking about the carrier bearing spacer that came with the kit??? or what??

I am not sure what spacer the mechanic was talking about, he said it goes betweent the rear end yoke and the driveshaft yoke. On a 2wd , in my experience there is not spacer, but since i have added the leveling kit and 5 inch block, it is required because the driveshaft is about an inch to short.

I'm in the same boat. 2wd / 6" fabtech & 2.5" AS level kit in the front, 5in block and AS AAL in the back. Did you ever figure which spacer is needed. I picked up a little more vibration under heavy acceleration. Part number would be great.

Just call 4 wheel parts and tell them you need a spacer that goes between your rear pinion mount and driveshaft. I think the one they gave me is about 3/4 inch. I installed it my selft, very easy.

I don't like how the fabtech 5 inch blocks are now angled forward like the factory ones, the fabtech ones are flat. it puts a slight angle on the driveshaft where it meets the rear end....

I too am looking for this spacer. I called fabtech and they had no idea what I was talking about.

Anyone know if this part is still available?
