skyjacker's 3" lift does not mix with our trucks too well. it puts way to much angle on our ball joints and cv's which causes premature wear in everything and it wouldnt work with a leveling kit on top anyways... for the setup your lookin for i'd say get a 4" rancho or 4.5 superlift suspension lift

spacers, including skyjackers 3" lift, are pretty rough on your CV angles. If you want some lift, get a pure suspension lift with a drop down bracket for your differential.

If you dont want it too high, the Rancho 4" or RCD 4.5" are good lifts to consider. If after you get it you feel you want it higher, the RCD can be extended to 6". However, it is quite an expensive lift.

the cheapest way to get 3" inches of lift is with the 2.5" AutoSpring spacer (it yields a little over 3" of lift) a memeber on here, (now he's got a green king ranch from eau claire) has had the 3" on his 04 FX4 and now he has an auospring on his king ranch. so people have good luck with spacers and some have not. now cheapest isnt necessarily the best way, but you can get the autospring spacer for under 100 bucks shipped and its an easy install, throw an add-a-leaf in the back and for about 250 bucks for truck is lifted 3 inches in the front and 1.5 inches in the back. the other option is the 4" rancho lift. costs around 1500 bucks w/o shocks and well is more complex to install. my truck is getting the autospring and add-a-leaf this summer and 35's.

This is you best bet for size recommendations. If you go with a 2.5 inch leveling kit or a 3 inch body lift, you can fit a 325/60-18 (33x13.00) tire on an 18x9 inch wheel with 5 to 6 inches of backspacing. If you combine the two, I'd suggest a set of 325/65-18's (35x13.00).
