Airbag guys: laying frame with small notch

Has anyone ever used this calculator before?

http://www.airridetalk.com/calculators/

I chose the F150 option, put in my tire size (295/45/18) 28.45", and it said I could lay frame with a 3" notch...Does anyone think this calculator is correct?

to know for sure measure from the ground up to the frame(prefferibly as far back on the section that will lay) then measure from the top of your axel up to the frame then the difference is the minimum notch it would take, but you should add an inch or two to allow for bigger tires if you someday want them and so you have a little bit of travel left when your laying

but it looks legit but 3" is a small notch.....

Yeah, I agree it is...just a bolt-in...but I want to try and avoid cutting a massive chunk out of my bed..haha I haven't measured yet, might be able to get a 5" notch on the frame and have to butted up against the bed but not coming through.

Right now, my frame is about 4-5" from the ground and my axle is about 2-3" from the frame. So I might be able to make it with a small notch.

That calculator says I'll have 0.7" clearance between the frame and notch.
