Superlift 4.5" Lift Questions

Hey everyone, I am planning on putting the Superlift 4.5" lift on my truck this winter, ones thing is that under the specs for the kit it says:
For 35x12.50 tire:
• 17x8” wheel with 5” backspacing preferred (5.25” maximum)
• 18x8” wheel with 5.75” backspacing
• 20x8.5” wheel with 5.75” backspacing
So if I wanted to get a set of KMC XD Rockstars it says 4.5" of back spacing am I good to have that set up with 35"x12.50" TOYO MT's?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

this is something to ask wandell, but 4.5" backspacing is a little slim, especially if those rockstars are 9-10" wide. Try to keep it close to the recommended specs of the lift manufacturer.

Agreed, if those wheels are 9-10" wide with 4.5" of backspacing they will stick out quite a bit past the fenders.

Take a look at my gallery if you want to see what 5.75" backspacing on a 8.5" wide wheel looks like.

Member 05BlackF150 has the Superlift, he'd be a good one to ask about it. Here's a link to his gallery:

I agree. I'd want more than 4.5 inches of bs on any wheel going on an 04-08.

Those should work pretty good and only stick out a tad past the fenders if I'm correct.

Tuchy3,

I have Helo Maxx 6 18x9 with 5 3/8 Backspace. 4.5 backspace is going to really stick out.

I had to trim just a little bit of the corner off my front facia (plastic part of the bumper) and I have 4" lift and 35" Toyo muds. My tires have 5.75" of backspacing. You may need to trim just a little bit but I doubt anything major. It should work.

Tuchy3, you are looking at the wrong wheels for your truck. Your bolt pattern is 6x135mm, not 6x5.5 inches.

KMC XD 775 Rockstar Black Size: 20x8.5 Bolt Pattern: 6x135 Offset: 35MM Back Spacing: 6.13 inch has too much backspace. For some reason the 6x135mm bolt patterns don't have the backspace you need. 5.75 backspace is the max according to Superlift. You may have to look for a different wheel.
