I don't see how since you'd need a LOT of new parts. It wouldn't be smart on their business end.

Well I stopped in at a local place here and looked at the new 8in lift that BDS just came out with for the 04-up f150.I also looked at there 6in BDS lift and the 6in uses your stock front shock and spring with a big ARs spacer like Pro Comp does But the new 8in looks like it has the same undercarraige but a longer front shock that uses your stock spring just like Fabtech and then they put a little spacer on top of it and that looks just like my 2.5in AS lift I have and they call it there new 8in lift.So is that all fabtech is gonna do is just give you a 2in leveling kit for the front and call in 8in lift or what?I could be wrong though and it could have a more dropped down undercarriag then the 6in did to retain the stock

no, fabtech makes quality stuff, they wouldn't just add a spacer. They will drop the differential more, get the right CV and UCA angles, and give you a new shock, whether it be a new coilover or a replacement shock for the front coilover.

You'd have to replace the knuckles, front and rear crossmembers and that is it. I'd buy those parts just to get better cv angles so I can use a spacer on my coilovers or maybe just crank the crap out of them.

not going to happen. why would they the the 09's come out that same year everyone is going to be trading in this bodysyle for for the new.... they wont make much money out of it.

YA i agree new body style is coming out with a better engine y would they waste the cast to make a bigger lift

jackedup4x2 11-19-2007 01:35 PM

Do you know this for sure?

We've been hearing this for YEARs .. it's possible but so is the world ending tomorrow. ;)

I can't see ford changing much, better electronics and mechanicals where the 04-07 was weak. Of course they have to do some cosmetic changes. So where's the weaknesses in the current suspension setup? I'm guessing most of that will stay the way it is and I don't think IFS isn't going anywhere.
