Lift Kit?

Alright guys i have probably been bugging you all a lot but i have one more thing for you guys.
I am gettin my truck lifted real soon and im really confused on what to get. I was shootin towards the 6in. RCD but my parents think its too much money. All I want is a good quality lift(6in. prefferably) that is a really good ride compared to stock on and off-road. My last truck was a terrible ride and i want to be impressed with my soon to be lift. So any advise and as many pictures as possible would be awsome and greatly appreciated.
thanks again!
-Mike!

go with a basic fabtech if your trying to save money, stay away from procomp. IMO! if you want a good ride quality dont get a AAL. my truck rides better than my dads chevy 2500 which is stock.

i would go with the fabtech basic...like bud said...if you want to keep your factory ride...get a kit that reuses your factory coils in the front

I have the basic Fabtech 6" lift on my truck and it rides almost as smooth as factory. It is a little stiffer and the wife says it rides like a truck now, but it's really not bad at all. I would highly recommend this lift to anyone.

yea im stayin away from pro comp. But if i get the fabtech kit i will most likely get the DL's all around. How do those make my ride? This lift kit is kind of a x-mas/ graduation gift from my parents but im still helpin them pay for most of it. So what do you guys think?

By the time you ad dl's all the way around yo have already spent more than the rcd. you can get a rcd at performancelifts.com for 2399. Just a thought, Bilsteins are going to dive you a better on road ride than dl's if thats what your looling for

basic fabtech

basic fabtech then later you could add the DL's

I am running the DL's all the way around. The rear is defineatly sound but the front is a little jarry. Its probably because of there agressive valving and from me crankin em' up. I would defineatly recommend getting the rear DL resevoirs. There awesome. :smoke:

Funny how all these folks that don't have a procomp lift come in and bag on it. I have a procomp lift that I put on myself and I'm here to tell you it's a great lift. It rides perfectly, installed easily and took an alignment with no issues whatsoever. All the parts were well made and more beefy than the stock parts they were mounting to. And with all that it was about $300 cheaper than the fabtech. (at the time)

The only issue I had was tapping the holes in the spindle, but any shop worth their salt will be well prepared to deal with something so minor.

I can back up my claims even further with the write-up I did on my install.

And even though I have a procomp lift, I won't dog the Fabtech. I'm sure it's also a good lift. But if I had to do it again I'd go procomp again. But I'd get the kit with the coilovers this time. ;)
