Smallest Lift with Stock CV Angles?
I just bought a new 2007 FX4 and I would like to add a small lift to level the truck and 33" tires with aftermarket wheels. I have read about the AS Level kits, but I would like to retain the stock CV angles on the front steering components.
Is there any level kit which maintains the stock CV angles? If not, what is the smallest lift which will keep stock angles? I do not mind paying a little more to keep the front suspension from having problems down the road. Thanks, KR-Texas |
currently the smallest kit that would retain factory CVs is the 4" rancho kit. It should look fine with 33s

Is this a 4" lift on the front and 1" or 2" at the back? This will probably work for me, as long as I can find a good place in town who installs them.
Also, does anyone have the 4" Rancho with 33" on their truck, so I can see a picture? Thanks, KR-Texas |
I did a quick search and I found several 4" Rancho kits with 35" tires, but still nothing with 33"s.
Thanks, KR-Texas |
yes the rancho lifts the front 4" and the back 2". theres a member with 33s on the rancho, i will look for it.

If you get the 4" rancho why don't you go with 35's

Hash,
I will be towing a 4000 lb boat on a regular basis next summer, so I would like to keep my 3:73 gear ratio as close to factory as possible. I want to avoid adding bigger gears, so I think 33 x 12.5s should be big enough with a 4" lift. Plus, the truck still has to fit in my garage... :) KR-Texas |
I barely fit in my garage with a 3inch body lift and 35s. I towed a 21' triton tr-21 regularly last summer and i did fine with my 3.73s
