Do I have a problem???

I just got my 6" Fabtech Lift put on last week and today I noticed something about the shocks. I'm not sure what its called but it looks like the piece I'm talking about has came loose and fell down. I dont know if it's a big problem or if I can just leave it the way it is. So I was hoping someone on here could help me. Thanks in advance guys.

The way it looks on the passenger side:

your dust boot is missing on one side

Oh I'm sorry it just dropped down, that just protects your shock from getting dirt and debris insid of it while it contracts. They are really cheap.

Where would I get a "dust boot" at? Or do you think I should take it back to the shop I had install the lift and have them fix it? Is it something I need to get fixed ASAP or can it wait?

Just slide it back up and put a zip tie on it, problem solved.

And no, it's not a big deal at all..

Or cut them both off. A lot of people believe they trap mud, dust and water, which leads to rust.

So it is ok if everything is exposed?

Yeah my buddy has been runnin his truck without them on for about year and a half now with no problems. Some people even think that its better to not have them on there in the first place.
