My options for going bigger?
 
already have 6"fabtech on 35"s
was thinking about a 3 inch body lift thn putting 37"s, how safe or are there any what effects does a body lift cause. or what else in the blue hell can i do?
the guy at the shop by my house said it was way more complicated and time consuming to do a body lift after a suspension lift? makes no sense to me ? what about you guys is he feeding me a load of crap? anyways he said installed and everything it would be about $1,000!! lol sounds ridiculous to me!

thump means what year is it... is if a 4x4, if its a 97-03 you can crank your t-bars, if its a 04-07 the but a coil spacer in the front for 2.5in. Body lifts are fine just get the gap gaurds and you ll be set.

I'd go with a 3 inch Performance Accessories body lift.

BIGGER IS ALWAYS BETTER!!!!!!! And don't let anyone ever tell you any different.


I've owned a Ram with a suspension and body lift on it. It was good set up. The install on it wasn't that great cause I didn't do it and didn't know that much about lifts when I bought it.

I've since installed 2 body lifts on F150's. As long as their installed right and you get the gap guards to hide the space, there safe.

I'm thinking about running a 6" Fabtech next summer under my PA 3" BL. If I gave save up the cash.

I think you'll be fine and also be very happy. You'll be saving for bigger tires 2 weeks after you put it on. :drool:

i would get a body lift over a spacer and that price was way to high. beautiful truck by the way love your front end.

didnt you just lift htat why areyou going to get new tires already? i guess if you like spending money but i would stick with the tires you have until they wear out then go bigger.

yea, i would go with the 3" PA body lift. or get a set of adjustable coilovers and uni-ball UCA's and crank the coilovers up a couple inches and throw a 2" AAL in the rear. or do both and throw on some 38's. i would stay away from adding the spacer. coilovers look much better :smoke:

yeah i did just get it all put on a lil while ago but i got some one who is gonna by my tires from me....im not tryin to rush it just tryin to figure out how much i need to be saving up for.

i would imagine he said a BL is more difficult to do after a suspension lift because the body is higher off the ground and it will be more difficult to lift to slip the pucks in, with a jack being that high off the ground. at stock height, you can use a large floor jack and a block of wood to lift the body. after 6" of lift already, that jack and block of wood isn't going to reach. they will have to get creative.

yea, i agree. Jacking up a truck with a 6" lift is a pain in the arse, and being you need to lift the body, that will make it more difficult to do. :smoke:
