6" lift w/ 35's
After so many hours of staring at all these great looking lifted trucks I'm going to step up and get a 6"RCD lift with 35" tires for my '07 XLT. Most of my driving is on the highway but I like the 35" BF Goodrich tires (LT325/65R18) for the look. On the RCD website they don't have the 2007 6" lift kit listed, but the '06 directions claim to fit up to a 17"x8" wheel on a 35" tire with 4-5/8 of max backspacing. I see a lot of 6" lifts on here with 18" and 20" wheels.. I'm lost on this one... Any help on this would be appreciated.

IMO.. if you are doing mainly highway and street driving 20's would be fine but if you do a lot of off-roading i would go with some 18's. Wrapped in some 35's would be perfect! |
I have a 6" Fabtech lift with 18x9" wheels & 35x12.50" tires with zero issues.

I'd go with 35's on 18's. If you are referring to RCD's fitment recommendations, they all tend to be a little conservative. They don't want someone whining after purchasing a lift and then finding out that 38's rub.

Thanks for the advice. Have any of you used the 'performance computers' (like EDGE products) in conjuction with a lift/35" tires? Are they just 'nice-to-have's' or 'must-have' products? I don't see myself making it out to the desert more than twice a year, but I sure like shiny electric add-ons.:rocker:
