37s on a 2.5 inch leveling kit
can it be done? I want to put some 37x12.5x18s on my 04 Lariat 4x4. I'm sure this question has been asked a billion times but I didn't find the answer after going through several pages in this forum. If not, will 35s fit?

As far as I know it's been asked once and the guy gave up on it. Im almost positive it wont but others will chime in soon
|
35s will, not 37s.

I have 37x13.5x18 with 9" rims on a 6" lift - even with lots of cutting and prerunner fenders, I still rub occasionally. 2.5", no way.

I have decent amount of tread left on my 33s, NItto Terra Grapplers but are starting to spin/slide on wet pavement so I was looking to buy new/bigger tires. Looks like the 37s are quite pricey. I guess I'll just go with 35s unless I get a lift on my truck. Thanks for the replies.

A 35x12.5 is a tight fit with just a leveling kit but they will clear on a stock wheel or an aftermarket wheel with close to stock specs. I have them on 17x8 wheels with a 5 1/2" backspace and no rubbing.

PawPaw, WOW! awesome looking truck  . Those 35" tires look awfully tight though, any problems rubbing? do you take it off pavement? rub then? thanks, and awesome truck.
Bryndon, any pics? Would love to see that set-up! thanks. |

MercedesTech, thank's for the compliment's. The wheels I have the tires on now 17x8's with 5 1/2"BS give me a good bit more room than on my 17x9 wheels that had 5" BS. No more rubbing when turning and I really have to do some serious offroading to make them rub. I had to do some minor trimming with the first set of wheels so I have a little more room up front for the setup I have now.

There is a guy on here that managed to fit 37s with a 3in body and a 2.5 as but it look so silly but he did do it. i have an 8in rize and i rub even after i cut. so I KNow you wont be able to fit 37s sorry man

No way man!! Not unless you remove your front fenders and take your bed off! HAHA!

I run with a 6" superlift set up, Im not sure if they make one for a 4 x 2 though. 37's would be extremely tight with my 4.5" B/S wheel and Im up 9" total.

https://www.f150online.com/galleries....cfm?gnum=6762 DualComp truck was 3" 33s, DualLiner (we changed the name and the look) is 6" 37s. |
I would think that the width of a 37" would cause more problems than the extra inch of tire in the wheel well. The average 37" is at least 13.5" wide and that's a big tire. Good luck even running 35" tires, unless you run them on the stock wheels.

Bryndon, all I can say :bows: Now thats a truck. A very nice one at that. That bed rack, custom or bolt on? If you bought it who makes it? Again, awesome set up!
