Fitting 40's
 

I have a 6" fabtech suspension lift, 3" body lift, procomp mx6 shocks and AAL in the rear. I want to fit 40's. I know in the back i can get a bigger block or another AAL, but what about the front. How do I get the front up higher beside cranking t-bars? If i have to cut my fenders and put pocket flares to fit 40s I will. Has anyone done this?

I want to have 40s during the summer and for the winter use the 37s i have on now.

Um have u seen those Baha flares there sick, but dontthink theres anything else you can do. But ihave seen a few ppl with 39.5 with a 6in lift 3in body so 40s should fit but rub alittle

so the tires i want to get are the same width just 3" bigger do you think i can get away with just trimming.

I don't think anyone makes cutout flares for our trucks. I think he may be referring to complete replacement fiberglass fenders.

dont do 40's they wont fit well if at all and it will look dumb cause there wont be any gaps it will look like ass if you ask me. and all you suspension will wear out much faster with that big of tires and you will def need gears.... if you dont already just settle with 38x15.5 that will look bitchen.

I think it looks great like it is. Save some money and leave like it is.

i doubt they'd fit. usually 40's only on 12 inch lifts

you could fit 40" but you would have to go real skinny like 12.5 or they would rub real bad on the torsion bars, with my 38" 15.5" i get alittle rub at full lock, i also had to trim alittle sheet metal from the rear of the wheel well and cut of the nub on the lower controll arm, i think 38" 15.5" is about as big as you want to go. without major rubing issues

Go with either a 38x15.5, 38.5x14.5, 39.5x13.5, or a 40x13.5. I have 38x15.5's, but I think I will go with 39.5x13.5 iroks or 40x13.5 atz's when its time for new tires.

Sorry i was talking about new fiberglass finders that would help. but 38 look sick so guess what ever makes u happy go for it. and it you get 40s take pics

Ok. i have procomp xtreme a/t 37x13.50 right now. I want to keep these with my chrome rims on for the winter. Then come spring/summer time i want to get new tires and new rims. And keep the stuff i got on now for winters.

How does 38.5x14.50 sound

Is that doable with minor trimming?

thanks man, hood is a carriage works grille off of autoanything.com. And...the hood is a 3" cervini bought directyl from them.
