AS 2 leveling kit report, it's cool!
 

Okay... well I lurked around this site for the last 5 months or so and have enjoyed all of the stuff you can learn and find out about here!!! I learned about the Auto Spring leveling kits here and decided to put one on after seeing all the reviews and pics on it... so here's my review on it for anyone thinking of the kit... IT"S AWESOME! I have only driven about 8 miles on it at this point, but the ride felt great.

I installed the AS 2" kit, but it raised the front a full 2.5"... not sure what's up with that, yes, i had it Aligned already also... but I'm super happy with the kit, and the lift...

on the front, it's now about 7/16" or 1/2" lower than the rear:

looks good man, i just got mine on and i love it also,gives it a totally different look. now u just need some bigger tires.

was it hard or troublesome? I have a set of AS 2" too in my garage waiting for me to get the balls to add em to my 07 XLT.

Any tips, or problems would be appreciated. I am scared to get it half apart then not able to get it back together. :eek:

Looks great.. Too easy to do, and the difference it makes is amazing.

Can you comment on the angles of your front CV axles and a arms.
Or do you have any pictures by chance?
I just purchased an 07 supercrew 4x4 and I want to install either a 1.5" or 2" leveling kit.
Can anyone comment on why the 2" Auto Spring kit is actually 2.5".

I haven't had time to look at the angles much... i'll try to get some shots of that soon... I had heard on here that others ended up with 2.5" of lift also using the AS 2 kit... I did notice that the difference in the AS 2 and the AS 2.5 spacer is only 0.125" (the AS 2 spacer is 1 5/8" thick, the AS 2.5 is 1 3/4" thick...) seems as though maybe their AS 2 spacer should be 1 1/2" width...?

as far as the install, i had my friendly local Auto/Mechanic shop do it for me while i was at work... :) They said it Aligned easily and they had no problems at all... I have read on this site that deep sockets are needed if you do it yourself, 17, 18, 21, and 30mm deep sockets.

I just drove to work today, (which is 36 miles of highway 70 to 80mph driving), and it rode just fine... yes, i drive 72 miles a day round trip to work :mad: i carpool as much as possible, but over the last 3 years i put an average of 22,000 a year on my old 1995 Ranger, now my F150 is rackin' up the miles... oh well , at least it's a fun ride!

I had the AS 2.5" installed back in the winter. Last month the passenger side CV boot ripped and grease was all under the wheel well. The dealship replaced it at no cost. Then on this Monday, I noticed that the driverside boot ripped. The dealership ordered the part and will replace it when it gets in, but they mentioned the angle on the front CV axles. I noticed when I had the 2.5" installed that it looked like more than 2.5" of lift. I think I have more like 3" lift. I this angle is causing the axles to cut through the boot during sharp cornering. I'm open to comments on how to relieve that stress. Or should I drop down to a AS 2" kit?

After installing the 2" leveling kit, how much bigger of a tire can you go with?

Could probably get away with 35x12.50 with minor rubbing

Yeah, I just got done installing 2 of these kits on an F150 S/C and F150 Screw and gotta say they make a world of difference. Ive been siliconing the boots since they are both used trucks and figure it ll help keep um from ripping. But looking good and hopefully mine ll look as decent. Rotated the tires and cleaned up the 80k of brake dust the previous owner left behind.
