4" blocks?

I currently have the 2.5" Autospring leveling kit, (06' F150 supercrew), with the rear 3" block. Truck seems to sit a little low in the rear. I was just wondering has anyone installed a 4" block in the rear with the a 2.5" leveling kit? If I were to install the 4" block would I have to change the shocks to longer ones? Any info or feedback would be great!

For the starting out length block 3" I am suprised you didn't have any problems with the stock shocks! I would upgrade to a lifted style shock anyway, it will improve your ride. Shocks are actually not as expensive as you think...I know I was flaberghasted when I saw the price of a new set of Nitro Filled shocks. I know you can do the bigger block that is no problem, but I would upgrade the shocks and give the stock ones a break!

i dont have a front level kit but i just ordered 5" blocks, ubolt kit and shocks from 4 wheel parts, they recommended the new shocks even though my fabtech 6" lift came with shocks in the kit. the lift kit came with 2" blocks, im trying to get the oem stance back.

Well if he has a fx4 the 3" block only adds 1.5" of lift, just like an AAL no issue with shocks, but if he adds something on top or goes with a bigger block then he may need something, Im als trying to figure out what I need

i was wondering the same thing too. i have decided to go with an AS 2" front kit and then the 3" rear block for my 04 4x4...my questions are: is this an easy install? should i go 2.5" in the front instead of 2"? will i need bigger shocks for the rear with the 3" block wich really only gives it a 1.5" lift?

My factory block is 2" - not 1.5". I just measured.

3" block only gets you an inch.

It's not an aftermarket lift. It's a factory 2" block.
