a little more lift
I have alittle bit of money to spend and thought about lifting my 99 f-150 w/ 4.2 a bit higher. I know a lifted 2wd gets looked down on but it already had some lift when I got it so I figured I might as well make the best of what I can plus it will be becoming more of a project in the next few months so that doesnt go to say 4wd cant be added.
Currently it has the fabtech 3.5" performance lift and 3" body lift on 37" super swamper iroks. I am looking into purchasing the rough country 3" lift spindles and 2" coil spacers for the front and some bigger blocks for the rear unless I can come along an add-a-leaf kit + blocks. I was just wondering what you guys thought about this. Good idea/bad idea or any suggestions? |
I thought the 3.5 inch Fabtech lift was lift spindles.

They have two different kits the one that I have has been discontinued as far as I know. One kit is spindles, blocks, shocks, and maybe springs. The one I have is upper contorl arms, springs, shocks, and blocks.

damn you can fit 37's with just that, how bad does it rub?
I say sell that kit, and get the 7.5" fabtech lift, its $1079 shipped from 4wheelonline.com |
It barley rubs at all. Took a small amount of trimming though.

I think you can upgrade that kit with lift spindles and coilspring spacers, but I'm not positive.
|
you should just get a bulletproof lift :-)
