Question Auto Spring Leveling Kit

I recently installed the Auto Spring 2.5" level kit on my 2005 F-150. It looks great but I am very concerned about the angle of the upper control arm. I just wanted to get everyones opinion and see if anyone has had problems with this. The control arm is at a very steep angle and it is almost touching the strut.

I had a 2" AS on for about a year and 12,000 miles. No problems with the uca's or balljoints. I took it off because I was concerned. went with GF 2" drop shackles instead.

IMHO it all depends on how you drive the truck as to if you get any problems or not. I did 99 percent highway miles.

I had the 2 1/2" Top Gun Customs kit on my '06 F-150. It's the same as the autospring. I noticed the same thing when I installed mine. It seems that alot of guys have the kit on their trucks, but it made me too nervous so I removed mine. I hate that I spent the money on the kit, but when the top of my spindle was rubbing the coil at flex, that just didn't seem right. The upper control arm angle was so severe that it looked like the ball joint was going to pop. Don't want to sound like I'm bashing, but they make an offset lift now to avoid contact with the spring, but I think that I'm going to leave mine off.

The angles are just the price you pay to play...

x2 on that one

Some people do the leveling kit w/ the intent to down the road buy a lift. I have had my 2.5" AS for about 8k no problems. If you offroad the truck hard w/ just a leveling kit you can probably expect problems.
Good Luck

You will need new upper control arms if you go anything over 2" but if you just do a 2" then you will be fine.
