sas ?

since i see alot of people talking bout how weak the f150 front end is after 8+ inches ive thought on putting a straight axle ......... this also means alot of other **** will be store to change as well right ?

springs,steering box,steering linkage,tie rod , pitman arm ,brakes

would i be better of just buying a ****ty pos older 70s f150 and use that for a mudding truck or would it be to much hassle to put a straight axle up front like a dana 60 ive been reading alot of the posts and all i see are simple 6/8 inch lifts im looking for an aggressive 12+ lift ......im planning on going to iceland with my truck ......( family there.....) plus i got a lake house and the extra clearance ill get with 40+ tires will give me room to slide over snow and wut not........... but im doing this all to make my life easier when i go up there.......... i do go up to canada alot i got a lake house there.....and i want to be able to go in the snow with out getting stuck 35s dont cut it......anyways any serious thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated

thx

i dont know were u came up with this idea. who told u that the front end is week with 8" of lift there are plenty of guys with 8" here including me with no problems. the money it will cost u to convert to a straight axle is a waste of money and time u should have bought a superduty. or just trade yours in for one now with the amount of money your looking to spend it just doesnt make any sense to me, now dont get offended i just dont wanna see u waste your money.
