37" on 20's
I know, old question, but will 37's on 20's fit with just a 4" Rancho (5.5" actual). I find it hard to believe that I could have 35" BFG Muds on with no rubbing with just a 2.5" autospring and couldn't fit 37x12.50x20 with a 5.5". I know that Rancho states that you should stick with 35's but is that just because anything bigger will rub under full articulation. I plan on taking the truck off road but nothing too extreme. Do you think the 37's would be fine with no ridiculous off roading?
Thanks for the help. The reason for my inquiry is that I saw 37's of a 05 F-150 2wd with the new 6" skyjacker lift at the SEMA show and there looked like plenty of clearance in the wheel wells, it's probably on the skyjacker website.http://sema.skyjacker.com/gallery/ |
It may be possible with the right wheel. Remember, wheel width and backspacing is as important to tire fitment as the size of the tire itself.

I am planning on using an American Racing Matrix 20x8.5, they do not stick out at all and the 37" BFG AT seems to be a fairly narrow tire relatively.

have fun, when you don't like it because of the problems...i will buy them from you

What is the backspacing on that wheel? If it's 5 1/2 inches or more, they may fit.

He said he planned on using 37x12.50's. Almost every manufacturer recommends an 8 to 10 inch rim width for 12.50 inch (305 or 315mm) wide tires.

whoops didn't notice it was a 12.5 wide tire

u are not fitting 37's with a 4" lift with out big rubbing. its 4" not 5.5 i dont know why people keep saying that i know 2 trucks with that lift and they got 5.5" totall with the tires and lift. the lift just gives u 4" even rancho has comented on this issue and sais no just 4". i do know someone with 6" fabtech and 37's and its a close fit.
