Need help with Belltech rear flip kit

The directions say I need to raise the rear enough to get the rear wheels 6-8 inches off the ground. Is this for real? How do you guys do this if you're doing it in your garage?

Front is all done with a 3 inch drop, now just trying to figure out the rear 5" drop.

Thanks, Clint.

Easiest way if your jack isn't big enough is to go to home depot, get like a 10ft section of 2x8/2x10 cut it up to around 10" sections, screw them together and place the jack on top. That's what I have to do when I'm working on my truck in my garage.

2008 F150, SCab.

Decided i didn't want to get to a point that I couldn't address in the garage, so I've worked out a trade with a shop with a lift that can handle my truck. No money out of pocket and they deal with the headache.

Braver man than I... I just get nervous with a vehicle that high on a floor jack.

You do need to get the truck 6-8 inches off the ground because of the parts that you need to remove in order to install the flip kit correctly.

okay, I've got everything installed and the front appears to be higher than the rear. I have a Leer bed cover so I'm wondering if the weight of that is dropping the rear down more than would be expected. Is there anything I can do to bring it back up just an inch?

Did you already get the alignment after doing the front?

Yep, did the alignment. Measuring to the ground; rear is 31 7/8 and the front is 33. I'll get pics up later.

Since the flip kit uses a 1/2" lift shackle and there is no 1" made I would think the Airlift Helper Bag Kit is the only option. Good thing about adding the helper kit is you can level the ride out and it will actually improve the ride quality in the rear. That bed cover weights atleast 100-150lbs if not more right? Looks great by the way.

Airlift Part# 59210 $294.55
