So I dropped the aviator off yesterday at Ford. 13K miles on the clock, tranny is coming out for issues and the rear main is leaking. The steering is vibrating at turn again (fixed at 7K miles with new rack) Anyway, as I am standing there waiting for the loaner, I notice a box of Ford tranny fluid. Closer inspection revealed that it was made by Ford, and said for vehicles requiring Mercon V, Mercon, and Dexron III. So much for the Ford doesn't recommend multiple vehicle fluids then eh?
