your thoughts here

Ok i got a 98 F150 with the 4 inch suspension and 3 inch body.....its a add a leaf in the rear now...I can take my front up another 2 with torsion bars but im only gonna go 1.5.............now, I was thinkin of gettin a 2 inch block for the rear to even things up, but im not crazy about stackin ontop of my factory block in fear of axle wrap and that kinda thing. So if i go with a 4 inch block, take the factory 2 inch out, will this help my chances with axle wrap?? im runnin 36 now and prolly goin to a 37 tire, i already have 4.56 gears. I am eventually goin with traction bars but for the time bein, if im easy on it which is hard to do, will i have much a problem?? would any of you do this???

4in block would work great. if your gettin trac bars later i wouldn't worry about anything. those will take out all axle wrap

just like he said^^^ 4" block will be fine, you might get some wheel hop or axle wrap with the block, but if you are getting traction bars in the future it wont be a problem, good luck

Yep, im actually gonna make my own traction bars.....work kinda like a jeep long arm setup, usin two tubes with adjustable heim joints on each end, one tube on top of the axle one on the bottom, weld a bracket on the back side of the axle. then two brackets on the frame prolly somewhere under the extended cab, front of the bed section of the frame and bolt them on. The heim joints will let the axle still articulate but not wrap........recently made some for a wrangler with a 8.8 under it and they work great. easy, functional and cheap, not to mention looks good.....thats how i like it
