Body Lifts

Hey guys, i know that there are tons of threads about body lifts, and ive prob read all of them. i do have one question on a 98 F-150 do you have to remove the interior components in order to install a 3 inch body lift. if so how does it rank on the difficulty scale. Thanks in Advance.

i know that if you have an extended cab you will have to pull out the rear seat, in order to pull the carpet back and get to the bolts. other than that the only interior peices are the kick panels and the panels that run along the bottom of the cab. i cant think of what they are called. difficulty would be about a 5. its not that it is hard. its trying to get a ratchet and socket on the bolts. hope this helps ya.

I agree. It's not a big deal. I didn't have to remove the rear seat in my Screw, but I did on a friends 2001 Expy.

OK, I'm lazy I guess, but getting that back seat out was going to be a pain.

I read that someone here had made an X cut in the carpet right over the bolts. There's only two bolts that require the cut.

Removed and installed the bolts, pushed the carpet back together and you can't see a thing. Besides that, there is a floor mat over the top of it.

Just a question of your time versus two little cuts.
