fx4 height

How can I get my 2005 lariat 4X2 as high as a leveled 2005 fx4?

well you won't get it equal I don't think but, you can buy some spacers, www.rockymountainsuspension.com or like site. That, in combination with bigger tires will get you close to the same height. I belive four wheel drives have different lift blocks in the rear end which raise them and different front springs. I'd be inclined to order some FX4 springs and rear blocks with new mounting hardware for the FX4 blocks from the dealer and see if they will fit in place of your stock springs since both new 150s use coil spring front ends.

You can get close by adding one of the 2.5 inch leveling kits up front and a set of lift blocks to the rear.

How much higher is the fx4 than the 4X2 lariat? I want to acheive the same hieght without the tires...then add the tires once I am there!

Id say probably 4 inches, tough to say though depends on the engine you have as that increases weight on he front springs. Are you trying to make a Fake 4x or something???

I have the 5.4...

No, I am not trying to make a fake 4X4. I am planning on adding 20X8.5" wheels with 33" tires and love how that wheel/tire combo looks on a fx4 with a leveling kit vs a 4X2 lariat with a leveling kit. I like the fender gap spacing much more all the way around. Looks "tuff" !
