lift install

havent seen any posts on seperating the upper balljoint when installing the autospring kit on the 04 i assume a seperator fork is needed am i right

Check in the 04-05 forum. I've read a couple of posts that say not to use a fork because it will tear the boot. Most people are loosening the nut and hitting it with a hammer to seperate it. I assume they are laying a piece of wood or something on top of the nut before hitting it so the nut isn't damaged.

Just a firm rap with a 4 pound hammer on the flat spot on the side of the upper arm and it will seperate. DO NOT use a fork as it will definately tear the boot...
