2004 Super Crew... I want to LOWER the rear only about 3"-4". Idiots in my area say they don't have "kits" and say they don't make them for 2004 SC. And then they talk pinion angle, etc., BS. Any ideas or sources?

Check out the 04 F-150 Forum. I know someone lowered their 04 with lowering shackles, but I can't remember who made them.

I recently had Western 2" lowering shackles installed on my 4x2 2004 F-150 Supercab after I installed 20" Chrome wheels and tires. I tried the shackles for about 2-3 weeks and did not like the ride. I just had them removed yesterday and got most of my money back. They made the rear of the truck ride "choppy", and when it went over rough sections of road/freeway, the rear end felt like it was skipping across the payment.

On a positive note, the truck looked bitchen. I may try a Ground Force 2"-5" lowering kit, instead of raising the truck 6" with a Fabtech kit, etc.

I have made a photo album on this site, but have not been able to figure out how to add multiple photos yet.

Something must be done to these things stock! They look rediculess! I plan to remidy the problem by lifting. On my 03 I lowered it to fix the problem though.
