Rebuilding LS rear end in F150

Has anybody ever rebuilt the rear diff in a factory LS rear end? Maybe I asked this question before, but I'm thinking of buying a high-mile '97, and I wonder if the LS is working at all...

I had mine out last week, looked like it would be easy to do a rebuild. Looked like just take the spider gears out and replace the clutches then reassemble it. Made me feel good, don't know how long they go before they need rebuilding but I've got 59K and it is still just as tight as when I drove it off the lot.
