Post 2wd with 7.5inches of lift

Hi I have a 1999 f150 reg cab 2wd, I currently have a 3inch body lift and 1.5inch coil-spacers with 33x12.50 Procomp m/t. As of right now i have NO rubbing of the tires at all and trimmed nothing. My question is if i got 3inch spindles and 3inch blocks added could i fit 36x12.50 with some trimming.

thanks
JDm

Ok JDm...I'll give this one a go...

Now judging by how my truck turned out i'd say that YES they would fit...but you WILL have to trim the lower front valence back. I have 4" of suspension and 3" of bodylift equaling 7" total (1/2" less than you will spindles) and Im running 35's easily with just alittle trimming. Now if you have 36's..they will be 1/2" taller from the hub up..but you willhave 1/2" more lift so it "should" be the same as my truck clearance wise. The back tires will clear easily and arent of any concern. I say go fo ir bro!

sounds good to me. Will the 36x12.50 have less rubbing if i use a 16x8 inch rim?

I don't know how big you can go a 2wd ford..... but I do know a bit about the 36x12.50 SX Swampers. We're going to be putting a set of these on one of our trail rigs soon. Last weekend I measured a set mounted. They are basically the same size as a BFG M/T 35x12.50, which is only around 34" tall, 9" tread section. The ones we measured were on a 10" wide wheel. The 10's were a little too wide, 8" would have been perfect.

The SX's are awesome tires. I run 32x11.50 SX's on my Samurai rockcrawler. IMO, they are the best all-around off road tires. Mud, rocks, sand, they hook up in everything. They have a 6-ply sidewall, which means they're tough as nails, also means they're heavy. I wouldn't expect them to last too long on the highway.

I was looking at a 4x4 mag of my and noticed that the 36x12.50 tsl and tsl-sx tires only fit 15inch rims and 16.5inch rims. And i dont want to get new rims so i will need to go with the 36x12.50r16 tsl-radial tires.

hey, not really sure if they will fit or not. if you just had the body lift and spindles, i would say no, but the spacers might make a difference. i'm getting spindles next week, so i'm probably just gonna get 315/75/16 eventually (yokohama has them for $135 ea.) i have the same lift and tires size as you now, but mine rub really bad, guess it's because of my wheels.

The reason im asking is i might get some spindles early next year and I wanted To be able to fit some 36x12.50 tsl's or tsl-sx's. If they would fit that would look sweet. Also is there anyone that might want to buy my 4 305/70r16 Procomp m/t they only have 1500-2000 miles on them and very little tread wear.

jdm~
just curious how you're going to compensate for loss of power? i'm just kinda curious how the 4.2L will handle those tires. i have a friend with a 2000 chevy 4x4 V6 with 36's and he claims to still get 17 MPG and has no problems with lack of power. i find that kinda hard to believe, but anyway, your truck will look bada$$ so go for it.
