Cool

You have a solid axle so they don't pertain to you. With an "A" arm suspension you have what is a spindle that is what the wheel hub is attached to and that connects to the upper and lower "A" arm. With a lifting or lowering spindle the wheel is raised or lowered and the "A" arms stay at their factory location. I hope this help to clear it up for you

Here is a picture of a lifted spindle
The one on the left is factory and the right is the lift.

Yes,
that does clear it up. Thanks for the info. So thats how they do the lift on the f-150. What if you want a 5" lift, do they just keep putting spindles on that are made 5" from the originals?

Thumbs up

It would be more economic and safer just to do a combo of suspension/body lift for the five+ inches. Plus the spindles have to support the truck and fit in the factory assembly for it all to work well, and I don't think anything above 3" will do the job.

Cool

You would have to use spindles springs and "A" arms. then springs or blocks in the rear just like yours.
