Post quick dropping question

how much of a drop requires new shocks?

Say can I do like a 2 to 4 inch drop and still use regular size shocks or do I have to get specialized shocks?

------------------
black 97' x-cab 4x4, 5 speed 4.6, black westin nerf bars, pilot ground searchers, borla SS split rear exhaust, K&N genII, bosch +4 plugs, superchip, flexalite electric fan, v-tech oval side window covers, IAS shocks

premier 720, pioneer 6cd changer, 12 premier sub, premier componets, 2 soso amps

still to come: new spark plug wires, new rims and tires, maybe a supercharger eventually.

You could get away with the front but not the back with a 4in drop.

2in in the rear should not be a problem a 3in......try it, you might be ok. Do the drop first and then see if it rides ok, You shouldn't bottom the shock out ut the dampning might not be what you like.
