Friends 93 4X2

Hey all, my friends 93 1fiddy is a 2wd, and i can get a rancho 4" 4x4 suspension lift kit for 100 bucks, used of course. would these be compatable or not, if the 4x4 kit includes stuff that the 2wd doesnt need, but can it be done?

Not even close. The 2 suspensions are completely different. You would have to redneck it to make it work and it would be very scary when you're done.

Hey it was a good idea, i thought it wo8ulda been a good deal..but here is another question, my dad has a 93 4x4 ext cab, the kit is for a regular cab longbox would those mate up? Just its such a good deal. i dont want to pass it up. if i can prevent it..

If your dads is a 4x4 then it should. Find out what brand it is and what it comes with. Alot of guys like to keep the radius arm crossmember from their class II skyjacker lifts. Make sure it has the drop brackets, coils (and then see if they're sagged), radius arms (if its a class II lift), radius arm crossmember (if its a class II lift), if it has the extended brake lines (those are easy to find if it doesn't have those), any kind of rear lift, any of the mounting hardware, and then see if it has shocks. To me it sounds like its an incomplete kit for that much money.

Its a complete kit, he just took off the 4" lift and put on a 6". completely different company, so i dont think the lifts would mate..only thing it wouldnt have would be the brake line extensions..
