End link's

Hey, I'm getting new sway bars, and I have lowered my truck 2/4. So, will I need to get shorter end links to keep things lined up? and if you know, how long are the factory end links?

The factory front swaybar endlink measurements for my 99' F-150 supercab are as follows:

From head of bolt to end of bolt is 8 inches. Of course the actual total lenght would be a little less after tighening nut.

The endlink spacer is 3 inches long. You of course have 4 bushings as well. With aftermarket bars you also have the washers that go along with the bushings and spacers. But in general, the aftermarket bushings are flatter and better.

But, if you are buying new, that source should be able to calculate what lenght bolt and spacers to send witth there kit.

Heck, I installed both my front and rear Hellwiggs with the stock height. When I decided to lower it, I called them up and they sent me lowering endlink bolts and spacers for front and back for free!!!!!!!

A key thing to remember on the front is, you do not want the spacers so low that they interfere with the tie rod movement.

Don't know about the fronts, but you will definitely need shorter links in the rear. As was already mentioned here, if you go with Hellwig, they'll send you want you need free of charge (they even send mine UPS Next day!). Super customer service with those guys. Good luck.

Thank's . I pick up my front tommarow and Steeda is having to make the rear one, so it will be a few weeks.

If possible, please post some pics of both bars after you get them installed. I'm especially curious to see how the Steeda bar looks and mounts. Good luck. :beers:
