Anybody got a woody? LoL

:p saw this pic from the sema show, and was wondering what everybody thought. i think its a little gaudy, but then again, i've never been a big fan of wood side panels on vehicles

and don't hang me if this was posted before here  I'm usually under my rock in the HD forum all the time. LoL

Kind of a personal question to be asking, idn't it? ;) Seriously though - that truck does absolutely nothing for me. Some may like it, but if you want a "woody", go get you a PT Cruiser or something more retro looking and have at it. Don't screw with the nice clean lines of a SCrew.

My $0.02

I think the color of the truck, and the color/woodgrain used make it look worse than it really is. :( the whitewash woodgrain looks bad, and is poor contrast with that 'modern' colored paint. they should've used a classic paint, from the old woodys, and a more natural wood grain.

just me .02's worth

in all seriousness, that truck is sweet. I like it, however i would never trick my truck out like that. I love the color:D

Not my cup of tea, looks like a ghetto pimp ride to me...No thanks

Do I have a woody, that's for me to know and one woman to find out:p

EEuuw. No woody for me. May be it would look better after a few drinks.......

Noah'sDad 11-20-2002 03:36 PM

All that wood probably wouldn't have looked as bad on an Expedition, though.

Harley#356 11-20-2002 03:38 PM

maybe if it were lower profile, matching handles, and more form fitting like around the taillights and stuff instead of just ending, it would look alot better, but still not to crazy about it

formula4dissent 11-21-2002 11:41 AM

Don't like the wood, but those wide white walls would really look cool on some type of vehicle.

TZRLightning01 11-21-2002 11:57 AM

agreed on the Expedition, it doesn't really flow with the lines of a SCrew, and most woodies were wagons. I REALLY am partial to that orange, ford should offer that color on HDs and Ls IMO. how bout this orange machine with the wide whitewalls???

I would have to agree with TZR, I love the orange and if they offered that color when I bought my SCrew, I would have gotten it.
The wood, white walls and the truck being lowered is not my cup of tea though. I would rather see it with a lift, some nice off road tires and no wood.

JDMnAR 11-21-2002 12:36 PM

Well - they are offering orange on the Boss F150 now, so who knows what the future holds.

TZRLightning01 11-21-2002 02:13 PM

JDMnAR, do you have a pic of that? does anybody?

RebelYell 11-21-2002 09:29 PM

My local dealer has 2 Boss 5.4's. One is "Hugger Orange" and the other is yellow. I started to take a pic of it a couple of days ago, but didn't. It will be Monday before I can get by there in the daylight (work 7A-7P all weekend). If no one has posted a pic by Sunday night, I will swing by there Monday and get one to post Monday evening. Assuming it's not sold by then.

BTW...the orange Boss has Stage Three option package......$38,000

Oh Yeah...they are Regular Cabs...not SCrews, but mighty fine looking nonetheless.

A dealer over on the other side of town had an orange and a yellow one side by side last time I was by there. I'll see if I can get by there this weekend and take a pic. I have seen pics of it online on other truck sites though. I'll see if I can find it again.
