Sure.

GCWR for the 5.4L Supercrew is 13000lb with 16" tires and 12500lb with 17" tires. This is the max weight of the vehicle and trailer. This gives you a tow rating of 7700lb with the 4WD 16" tire and 7200 with the 17" tire. This link does not list the GVWR.

The 7700lb GVWR model has a 13500 GCWR and can tow a 8300lb trailer (supercab 4WD).

The sourcebook online has a link that shows the GVWR, GCWR and tow ratings on the same page, but it is a javascript link so I can't paste it in here. Just go to the specifications page then click on the "Payload and trailer towing weights" link. There is also a link in this section that describes the various weight ratings.

Thumbs up

OK , I think I got it now . Thanks for the enlightenment . One thing though , looking thru all the spec. sheets I only saw the 4R70W tranny listed for the S-crew . I didn't see any S-crew set ups with the 4r100 . Maybe they started using them after release of the source book .

i seriously doubt the 4r100 was ever available in the s-crew. i think someone just assumed (and thus rumor started) that with the 5.4l and class III trailor tow package you'd get the beefier tranny. simply not so...i have yet to hear of anyone that has the 4r100 in their s-crew.

MACH1- I AM PRETTY SURE YOUR TRUCK WILL HAVE THE 4R70W TRANNY BECAUSE OF THE 4.6 ENGINE.
YOU CAN CHECK BY LOOKING AT THE TRANSMISSION CODE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR TAG UNDER "TR"
U=4R70W
E=4R100
AS A SIDE NOTE YOUR 4R100 IN YOUR SUPERDUTY IS A DIFFERENT VARIATION OF THE 4R100 OFFERED IN THE F150 (HEAVIER DUTY)

Where is the transmission id tag located on a 2001 Ford F-150 with a 4.6 engine?

If it's a 4.6 it's a 4R70W.
