She's Gone !@$*%#!

Yesterday while my son was driving our 2001 Screw home from school another driver failed to stop at a stop sign. He T-Boned them at approx 40 mph. No one was hurt thank god, that's the most important thing, but the truck is probably a total loss. Massive front end damage and a testimony to the engineering saftey of the F150. My son is fine, brusing front the seat belt and the air bag. The worst part is I was following him home in my car and witnessed the entire thing. It seemed like two years went by before I could get to him to see that he was alright. I'm sure the insurance won't repair such an old truck, but we are not ready to lose her. It has been the best vehicle we have every owned, and all of the last 9 years of family memories (vacations) are with that truck. Thanks for reading, It made me feel better writing about it. Now off to deal with the insurance company.

damn, that sucks! But, the most important thing is that no one was injured. Good luck man.

Count your blessing. I lost my Best truck a 1997 XLT last year in an accident I had no part in other than being the victim and it truly sucks. Trucks can be replaced, kids can't.

I have kids too...I can empathize.Be grateful you still have your son.Look at it this way...new truck...new memories.

It's only a truck... Your son is ok and that's the important thing... Good luck...

glad to here he is ok you can always replace a truck but never your own child, do you have any pictures of the accident we might be able to tell you what you should do with that truck weather its fixable or totaled

I dont understand the way people drive. I am seriously thinking about starting a driving school....not a book driving school but a REAL life driving school. I just dont get what people think...maybe in your case FBcoach it was a total accident, Once I was driving in a new area and blew a 4 way but hitting another vehicle?!?!?! thats rediculous. Thank GOD your son is ok, I couldnt imagine what you were thinking seeing your son in a "totaled" vehicle....this was your "lucky" day. Also its great he was in a truck and not some small compact car
