After months of deliberation and reading lots of threads here, I ordered a new screw this past weekend! Got the same runaround from the sales person about not knowing how to order the ORP w/17in wheels. Took the manager to come over and straighten things out, sales guy was using outdated spec books, unbelievable. Would not have been so aware of this kind of stuff had it not been for everyone on here.
Think I did well with the negotiation dance...XLT, 5.4L, 4x4, ORP, ltd slip, 2-tone, cloth benches, 6-disc, bed x-tender.. for exactly $30,000, plus any discounts available at delivery. Dealer said delivery should be about 6 weeks, after the reading here though I'm expecting around 2 months.

Congratulations...I too ordered based on what I learn on this thread.

I'd say that 2 months is good number to keep thinking and if it comes earlier....great.

Ordered mine on valentines day, still no build date yet. Called the dealer yesterday, they found out today that the factory was having a "problem" with production of the f150 Screws. Wouldn't give me the details though (something to do about the rear doors). They apologized but doesn't help me 'coz I'm going to miss out on the Incentive of low financing (5.9%)which ends April 2nd. But I'm hoping Ford starts a new incentive program that'll be better...we'll see! the wait is killing me!
