Talking It's here!!!!!!!!!

My SCrew arrived at the dealer about an hour ago. I'll be picking it up tomorrow or Friday and can't wait to get in those leather seats. After all the talk on this site I'm a little apprehensive about "wandering and thunking", but I'm not going to let that spoil the experience. I'll let you know what I think.

4X4 Lariat
White/beige
5.4, lmtd slip
roof
cd chngr
heated captains chairs
ORP
Towing package
Bed extender

Congratulations. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine so far! Only thing that brings me down are those occasional trips to the gas pump!

Good thing I didn't buy it for an economy vehicle! Ain't a better looking vehicle on the road than the S'Crew (in my humble, totally unbiased opinion).

Thanks rasch,
It is one awesome looking truck. I have the mod bug after reading this site, but am pretty conservative about modifying a brand new vehicle. I like the idea of more power and so a chip and filter are possibilities. Also saw a picture of a SCrew with a GoRhino brush guard. Looked real good. I guess I better get the truck before I get to many ideas though.

Know what you mean about the Mod Bug! I am not a big mod fan either and am actually a little afraid of mods that affect the performance of the engine. I did go with a hard tonneau cover and a bug deflector though (if those count as "real" mods).

I also like the steps that someone posted on here a few days ago, even though the factory steps work fine.

Question: How may times will you drive by the dealer tonight to "eyeball" your new S'Crew?

Congrats,
Perhaps it makes you feel better, I got mine 2 1/2 weeks ago and don't have a complaint. No thunk, no wandering, no problems what-so-ever. I like the Ford bug gaurd, got westin nerfs, and catch-all mats. Already have 1,600 miles and did my first oil change today, AND the dealer hand washed the truck.
Mileage has not been a big issue, I get about 1 mpg less than I did with my Toyota P/U, yet twice the power, room and comfort.
Congradulations!!!

Congrats to you! I am also happy to report that I have absolutely no thunking, no wandering, and no complaints on the mileage, even without the K&N filter. I haven't even needed to fill the tank yet.

Of course, my screw, as of today, is not built yet...but that's just a minor annoyance. Damnit.

Congratulations! I'm jealous, my SCrew is scheduled for March 19th so I have at least a month wait ahead of me.

I've seen some comments on mpg. I figured if I drive 12,000 miles per year and pay $2.00 per gallon (count on it), it will cost me an extra $4.50 a week in gas to drive my 15 mpg SCrew as compared to some econo fake truck getting 22 mpg. Small price to pay for such an awesome truck!

Ordered Feb 17:
SCrew Lariat 4x2, White, 5.4, Tow, Moonroof, Slider, CD changer.

You're right and wrong. I too don't care if it costs an extra $ 4.50 a week but given your m.p.g. #'s it would cost $ 10.00 a week extra. I'd pay an extra $ 20.00 a week not to have to drive a Toy!

Cool

Congrats. Enjoy owning the best there is. Every other truck wishes it was a Ford truck.

This is Ford Country!

Thanks for all the input. I pick it up at about 4:00PM today. Have bug deflector and bed mat waiting and Husky mats on order. Will let you know how the ride home is. The dealer is about an 1 1/2 hrs away so I'll get a good drive in the first time I'm in the truck.

Enjoy your ride home! Like I said, I'm jealous.

SCrewKing, thanks for keeping me straight on my math. I agree, it 's worth spending $20 a week extra in gas, or more, for the right vehicle.

And if you feel the urge to drive around late at night, despite having to be awake early the next morning, that's ok too.

Niiiiiicccee truck!!! Boy what a drive home. No wandering, no tranny thunk so far, looks better than I thought it would. Moonroof is great as are the heated seats. I saw a thread in here at some point about stolen bed extenders. Does anyone have any thoughts on that or is there a lock of some kind to be found. Thanks.
